celpipmaster.com ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website celpipmaster.com and related services (collectively, the "Service"), an online practice platform for learners preparing for the CELPIP test. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
celpipmaster.com is an independent study platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Paragon Testing Enterprises, the CELPIP test, or any official testing organization.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored in encrypted/hashed form). You may optionally provide a display name and an avatar. We do not require your real name, government ID, or phone number.
Practice Data. To provide our core features, we store the practice work you produce on the platform, including:
- Your answers to practice questions and mock tests;
- Written responses you submit for AI scoring or sample generation;
- Audio recordings of your speaking practice, and machine-generated transcripts of those recordings;
- Scores, feedback, and study-progress records generated from your practice;
- Optional study preferences you set, such as your planned exam date and target score.
Payment and Membership Records. If you purchase a paid membership, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor (Creem). We do not collect or store your full credit card or bank details on our servers. Card information is submitted directly to the payment processor. We receive and keep only the information needed to manage your membership, such as the order reference, transaction status, purchased plan, and your resulting membership validity period. If you activate paid features using a redemption code instead, we record the code redemption and your resulting membership status; payment for such codes is handled by the sales channel where you obtained them.
Device and Usage Data. Like most websites, we automatically receive certain technical information when you use the Service, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security, troubleshooting, and improving the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including logging you in and syncing your practice history across devices;
- Generate AI-based scores, feedback, and sample answers for your practice responses;
- Track your progress and provide personalized study features (such as skill maps and improvement suggestions);
- Respond to your support requests;
- Protect the Service against fraud, abuse, account sharing, and automated attacks (including rate limiting and human-verification challenges);
- Analyze aggregate usage to improve features and performance;
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the Service to function:
- Session cookies to keep you signed in;
- Preference cookies to remember settings such as your language;
- Security cookies set by our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) and by the Cloudflare Turnstile human-verification widget, used to protect the Service from bots and abuse.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not embed third-party analytics or tracking scripts on our pages.
4. AI Processing of Practice Content
Our scoring, feedback, and sample-answer features are powered by large language models (LLMs) operated by third-party AI providers. When you submit a written response or a speaking recording for evaluation, the content of that response (text, audio, or its transcript) is processed by these providers to generate your results.
We send only the practice content and the context needed for evaluation. We do not send your account identity (such as your email address or account name) to the AI providers together with your practice content. AI providers process this content to deliver the requested evaluation and are not permitted to use it to market to you.
5. Information We Do Not Collect or Share
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
- We do not track your activity across other websites.
- We do not display third-party advertising on the Service.
- We do not send unsolicited marketing messages.
We share information with third parties only in the limited cases described in this policy: infrastructure and hosting providers (e.g., cloud hosting, content delivery, and email delivery services), our payment processor (Creem) for handling purchases and refunds, AI providers as described in Section 4, and where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of the Service and its users.
6. Data Retention and Security
We retain your account and practice data for as long as your account is active, so that your study history and progress remain available to you. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes (such as fraud prevention records).
We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed password storage, access controls, and network-level protections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may:
- Access and update your account information at any time in your account settings;
- Request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us;
- Disable cookies in your browser settings (note that the Service requires session cookies to keep you signed in);
- Stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.
9. International Users
The Service is operated for learners worldwide. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be stored and processed on servers located in jurisdictions other than your own, where data-protection laws may differ. We apply the protections described in this policy regardless of where data is processed.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and provide notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
